What does it do?

The Riffle Splitter (RS) is designed for manual representative splitting of dry, granulated and powdered sample material with a volume of 1-20 litres. Can be used both in the field and in the laboratory providing fractional sub-samples for further preparation.

How does it do it?

The RS consists of a hinged support, a feeding tray, a riffled sample divider and two receiving trays. The sample material cascades into the two collecting containers through a number of slots, which are arranged opposite to each other. With each dividing process, the feed quantity is halved until the required sample quantity has been reached. Riffle splitting is the major prerequisite for reliable analysis results.
