The Snorre field has two platforms named Snorre A and Snorre B which went into production in 1992. The Snorre Expansion project includes upgraded facilities of Snorre A as well as new subsea templates. It is expected to increase the production life by 30 years. The Snorre field lies 200km west of Floro in the Norwegian North Sea.

Snorre has recoverable reserves of 1.4 billion barrels of oil, six billion cubic metres of gas and six million tonnes of natural gas liquids.

Owners are Equinor, Petoro, ExxonMobil Norge, Idemitsu Petroleum, RWE-Dea Norge, Total E&P Norge, Amerada Hess Norge.
